NEW YORK - New York’s famed Waldorf Astoria, the official hotel of The Tennis Channel during the 2009 U.S. Open, will offer an array of delectable, tennis-themed beverage options and an exclusive sweet treat from the first serve of the tournament to the championship point.  Hotel guests, visitors to the city and area residents are invited to experience the offerings, which will include ongoing coverage of The Open as well as unique cocktails and a dessert at the property.

For those who wish to track tournament happenings, the hotel will have 4 television screens set-up in two of its renowned bars, Peacock Alley and Bull & Bear.  While watching the tournament in Peacock Alley, guests can sip on Ty Breaker or Honey Deuce cocktails, exclusively offered during The Open.  The Ty Breaker – featuring Ty KU Asian Citrus Liquer, fresh mint, fresh lime juice and a touch of Cointreau – will cost $18; while, the Honey Deuce with Grey Goose Vodka, mathilde black currant liquor and lemonade, garnished with honeydew melon, will be $18.

Both Peacock Alley and Bull & Bear will also offer a special dessert, the property’s contemporary version of its signature Red Velvet Cake, drizzled kiwi sauce and served with a special white chocolate plaque.  The delectable classic will cost $12.
