Sidney Schutte and Itzik Barak met a year ago during the annual Taste of Waldorf Astoria culinary competition where both chefs were among five Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts chefs selected to create the next iconic dish to be served alongside Waldorf Astoria creations like Red Velvet Cake, Eggs Benedict and The Waldorf Salad.

"We hit it off right away. Occasionally you meet fellow chefs who not only pique your interest, but make you want to take a look in their kitchen. In this case the feelings were mutual," says Chef Schutte.

The February collaboration will allow these chefs to innovate and create unforgettable dishes featuring unique tastes and flavor combinations. "It will be a culinary jam session in Jerusalem at the highest level," promises Chef Barak.
